Event: Ukulele Jam Camp

Join the ukulele community Sat/Sun October 13-14, 2018 for a weekend of workshops and music on the shores of beautiful Isle Lake!

It’s Ukulele Jam Camp time!

  • WHEN      Sat/Sun October 13-14, 2018
  • WHERE    Camp He Ho Ha
Hwy 16, about 1 hr west of Edmonton, AB

It’s the 3rd Annual Ukulele Jam Camp, presented by our good friends at the Northern Bluegrass Circle. Workshops led by multi-instrumentalist Barry Luft!

Your fee covers three one hour workshops, Saturday night accommodations, meals, snacks, and a mini festival. Jam until the wee hours. Or sleep. We won’t judge you. Did we mention that the food is excellent? It is.

Register and see schedules and more information at the Ukulele Jam Camp site.

It is excellent fun and a great way to meet other players (and ogle their ukuleles). You’ll meet Acoustic Music Workshop people too. Ogle their banjos!

Don’t be sad and regretful in the doldrums of winter when you overhear everyone lovingly reminiscing about their woodland musical adventures. JOIN THEM!

EVENT: JOHN JANZEN in JUNE Come Play With Us!

It might sprinkle, but we’ll have a roof!

EVENT  Saturday, June 2, 2018, 1:30 – 3:30.

WHERE?   John Janzen Nature Centre Compost Deck, 7000 143 St NW, Edmonton (Same parking lot as Fort Edmonton).

WHO?     Everyone is welcome. Players from groups all over the province are invited. Bring your friends and family! Make them sing!

HOW?     Format change for this year: instead of pre-chosen song lists, we’ll be playing songs from the Beloff Daily Ukulele / Daily Ukulele Leap Year books, chosen on the spot (Player’s Choice, circle style) and the mass of ukulele players will play them together. You don’t need to be in a group to come and play!

It’s free! No cost to you.

MORE INFO?     See the John Janzen Centre event page here on our site for more, including a list of some of our sweet door prizes.
