John Janzen Nature Centre Event

John Janzen 2017

You don’t have to tiptoe through the tulips, but you can stroll through the garden and strum on the patio with us!

EVENT  Sunday, June 11, 2017, 1:30 – 3:30 P. M. John Janzen Nature Centre Compost Deck, 7000 143 St NW, Edmonton (Same parking lot as Fort Edmonton).

WHO?     Everyone is welcome. Players from groups all over the province are invited.

HOW?     Each group invited selects five songs from the Beloff Daily Ukulele / Daily Ukulele Leap Year books, and the everyone will play them together.

It’s free! No cost to you.

WHEN?     Sunday, June 11, 2017, 1:30 – 3:30.

WHERE?   John Janzen Nature Centre Compost Deck, 7000 143 St NW, Edmonton (Same parking lot as Fort Edmonton).

Bring a CHAIR, a MUSIC STAND, and your YELLOW and BLUE books. And your family!

Here’s what will go down! Each circle will take turns leading the whole group in performing the songs they have selected. There may also be a couple of performance slots available for players who have a prepared performance that isn’t a playalong.

We will supply an MC, lyrics sheets for singers, chord charts for baritone players, a playlist handout, and any extra pieces that aren’t in the books. There will also be people there to share their songbooks if you don’t have the music.

You bring your ukulele, and anybody who wants to sing along. If the weather last year happens again, you’ll also want a hat, some sunscreen, and about 300 bottles of cold water. (Do not bring alcohol, please. Park rules.)
